This PMA system was installed in Fall 2000 and went operational in July 2001. The monitor is colocated at the Qwest POP, about 10 minutes drive from the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. The fibre splitter is installed between the Abilene LS1010 and the Abilene IPLS GSR core router, an OC12c ATM link. The Abilene LS1010 terminates circuits from the Indiana GigaPOP (consisting of another CISCO router and another LS1010) as well as an OC3c and and OC12c circuit from the AADS in Chicago (AADS is the Ameritech POP, the location of STARTAP).
