This PMA system has been installed in 2001 and went operational on January 7th 2002 at the OC12c PoS link connecting the Merit premises in East Lansing to Internet2/Abilene The PoS link is configured to a multiplexed Cisco HDLC encapsulation. The configuration deployed at the local router is:
interface POSx/y/0.N point-to-point ... frame-relay interface-dlci N IETF
The traces contain both channels of the frame relay encapsulated streams. More details on the configuration are expected from the site contact in the near future.
This PMA monitor is the site delivering the largest trace files at present, measured on a daily basis, being responsible for more than 50% of the daily trace data volume collected (Status end of January 2002).
