PMA Download Summaries
As part of our efforts to understand and support our users' needs, as well as demonstrate the usefulness and value of our data and related analysis tools, we have compiled our daily traces data download log files and created summary graphs of daily download activity.
We also have summary graphs of data collected by each monitor.
Go to: Data Collection Statistics.
Below is a sample month (June 2004) summary graph for total traffic downloaded.
Notes about the graphs:
- Three parameters of Daily download activity are available:
number of users, volume [total traffic] of downloads, and number of distinct files downloaded. Each monthly summary page has graphs for each parameter.
- Each graph shows the FTP, HTTP, and combined FTP/HTTP statistics.
- Individual pages for each parameter, containing graphs for all available months (from October 2001 through the previous month) are also available. (Please see table below.)
- The daily update time for all graphs is midnight local time (San Diego, CA, USA).
- Current graphs have data from the beginning of the month, through the previous day.
- Graphs scale to the data. Be careful when comparing graphs.
- Occasionally gaps appear in the graphs; they represent periods during which there were no downloads. This could be caused by several factors in addition to no download activity, including network outages and server maintenance.
