PMA Data Collection Statistics

As part of our efforts to support our research partners' needs, we have compiled data collection statistics for our daily traces monitors.

Monthly graphs showing the daily number of files and total traffic volume - for each monitor - are available; these two summary graphs are updated daily. The historical archive extends back to October 2001. A condensed example of a total traffic volume graph is shown below.

For more information regarding each monitor and its configuration and location, please see our Site index page.

Notes about the graphs:

  • Monitors are identified on the graphs by their three letter "key name." For more information, please go to our Site index page.
  • Graphs scale to the data. Be careful when comparing graphs.
  • The daily update time for all graphs is midnight local time (San Diego, CA, USA).
  • Current graphs have data from the beginning of the month, through the previous day.
  • Occasionally gaps appear in the graphs; they represent periods during which there were no downloads. This could be caused by several factors in addition to no download activity, including network outages and server maintenance.
